Karina Taira

Karina Taira, a Japanese-American photographer and director, was born in San Francisco and attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He began his professional career at just 19 years old and while she was attending school she also traveling between Tokyo and Los Angeles. After moving to New York, she is rewarded for the Diesel perfume campaign.

This is the turning point that brings to her important editorial and advertising works to Paris, Milan, Tokyo and London. Among his exhibitions are the exhibition of black and white images at the DP Fong Gallery in San Francisco, the Absolut Zodiac book that has been exhibited all over the world, and the solo exhibition at the Picto during the Mois de la Photo in Paris , at the same time as other exhibitions.

Karina Taira has been contracted with Life Magazine to make all the covers with celebrities. His clients include names such as Sephora, L’Oréal, Bourjois, Lierac, Guerlain, FabiShoes, Givenchy, Courvoisier, Pommery Champagne, Wolford, Christian Dior, Diesel perfume, Boucheron, La Perla, Garnier, Anna Rita and Motorola. His works have appeared in magazines such as: Vogue Gioiello, Premiere Magazine, ESPN, Life Magazine, Blackbook, Bon, Big, Rouge, XS, Italian Amica, i-D. At the moment Karina is divided between Paris and New York.
